Overview

The user end consumes 80% of the entire power grid's electricity. Intelligent electricity management at the user end is of great significance for reliable, safe and economical electricity usage by users. Building an intelligent electricity service system and comprehensively promoting electricity management solutions such as intelligent meters and intelligent electricity management terminals at the user end can achieve a two-way positive interaction between the power grid and users.

The research contents that the user end urgently needs to solve mainly include: advanced meters, smart buildings, smart appliances, value-added services, customer power consumption management systems, demand-side management and other topics.

The electric energy metering management system segments and statistically analyzes the electricity consumption at the user end, presenting the usage and consumption of each sub-item of electricity to management personnel or decision-makers in intuitive data and charts. This facilitates the identification of high energy consumption points or unreasonable energy consumption habits, effectively saving electricity and providing accurate data support for users to further implement energy-saving renovations or upgrade equipment.

System architecture

The system can complete data exchange for all intelligent devices in the transformer and distribution room, and can monitor the operating status of important operating equipment such as transformers and circuit breakers in the substation in real time; it can also monitor the operating data of each circuit and environmental temperature and other digital quantities in the transformer and distribution room in real time; the communication management unit is connected to the factory local area network and transmits the data to the server.

The system can be divided into three layers: namely, the field device layer, the network communication layer, and the system management layer.

The on-site equipment layer: It includes multi-functional meters, temperature and humidity monitoring devices, cameras, and switch quantity acquisition devices installed in the substation. Except for the cameras, other devices are connected to the RS485 port of the on-site intelligent gateway via the RS485 bus.

The network communication layer: It includes on-site intelligent gateways and switches and other devices. The intelligent gateway actively collects data from the on-site equipment layer devices, and can perform protocol conversion, data storage, and upload the data to the designated server port through the switch. When there is a network failure, the data can be stored locally, and the data upload can be resumed from the interrupted position when the network is restored, ensuring that the data on the server side is not lost.

The system management layer: It includes devices such as servers and switches. If mobile APP and external web access are required, the server must have a fixed IP address.
